Q: Tell me about yourself and your family.
A: I am 44 years old and use a wheelchair due to a car accident 23 years ago. I was born in South Dakota then moved to Oregon in 2010 then moved here to RVA in 2016. I have 4 kids that I love very much. They are Natalie, Brayden, Gavin and Chloe.
Q: We know you love work, but do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
A: Avid movie watcher and reader. Love sports, hunting, and fishing.
Q: Great, now let’s talk about work. How long have you worked for Mobility Supercenter?
A: 2 years
Q: What did you do prior to working here? How did you end up here?
A: I worked for a Mobility Dealer in Portland Oregon prior to moving here
Q: As any job has, I am sure there are some challenges. What would you say are the biggest challenges in your job?
A: Trying to find products for customers in need who have very little resources. I know what it’s like to be without transportation and not have the ability to come and go as you please.
Q: Along with challenges I am sure there are some rewards. What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
A: Working with people! I get the opportunity to really share my life story and struggles with having a disability and help others find resources they may not be aware of. It’s nice to hear other people’s accomplishments as well! Working here I have learned that many people persevere and move on through tough situations to still live a happy and independent life!
